I am Gayawan, founder and CEO of Gayawan Photography.
My photography began in the days of black-and-white film. I was studying Engineering at the University of Maiduguri, and photography became the creative outlet that balanced my technical work. Then came a friend’s wedding, which I shot on a Motorola Razr V3 flip phone. Seeing how much joy one frame could hold, I knew this was what I wanted to do for life.
Since then, I have grown alongside the craft itself. I moved from film to digital, then to DSLRs, and learned the range of zoom lenses, the power of digital editing, and the lightness of mirrorless cameras. Each stage pushed me to refine my work and stay ahead.
